Yucatecan fishermen survived Hurricane Milton at high sea

Fishermen who survived Hurricane Milton are rescued at sea.

The Yucatecan fishermen on the boat “Neldy” were rescued and are out of danger after having survived Hurricane “Milton” on the high seas. During the early hours of this Wednesday, the boat “Tepakán” located its companions from the larger fleet at the previously reported coordinates, managing to tow the ship to the coast.

The crew members, Cristian Chí Poot, Sharbel Chí Poot, Guillermo Vera Hernández, and Sergio Márquez, lived through critical moments when facing the onslaught of the cyclone while they were in the middle of the ocean. Despite the difficult situation, everyone is safe and in good condition.

Currently, the “Neldy” is heading to the port of Progreso after having been located near Río Lagartos. On its way, it has already passed by the coasts of Dzilam de Bravo, where it is expected to arrive in the next few hours.
