To the rhythm of Bohemia Rhapsody, Yucatecan Daniel Moo Vázquez achieved fourth place in the IDO World Tap Championships 2024, held in Prague, Czechia (the country formerly known as the Czech Republic).
Moo Vázquez was among the “Top Five” in the world in the Male Junior 1 category, in the individual modality. Daniel went against 17 competitors from different countries such as the United States, Australia, Sweden, Japan, Great Britain, and the host Czechia, among others.
“Fourth place, my first world championship and after three years of studying tap, this result was achieved. I am very happy, I was the youngest in my category. I hope to continue participating and to become a better tap dancer. Thank you all very much,” the Yucatecan posted on his social networks.
“It was incredible to rub shoulders with the best tap dancers in the world. I know that this is only the beginning,” he added and thanked his instructor, Alejandra Ramírez, for the choreography.
It should be noted that Daniel Moo Vázquez has only three solo routines in his short career and has already emerged as the fourth-best tap dancer in the world.
In addition, the Yucatecan announced that with his performance he obtained a 100 percent scholarship for the choreographic event at the Pop Tap Festival in Italy.
