Within the framework of the Mexico Aerospace Fair (FAMEX) 2025, Yucatán successfully began its participation, consolidating its position as a strategic player in the national and international aerospace sector, following the instructions of Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena.
During the opening day, led by the Secretary of Economy and Labor, Ermilo Barrera Novelo, the collaboration between government, industry, and academia was highlighted as a driver
of the state’s technological, economic, and labor development.
Yucatan’s stand featured key local companies in the sector such as Solo Vuela, Anta, and Servicios Aéreos Ciclo.
As part of the agenda, the State Government held meetings with global leaders such as GE Aerospace, Bombardier, and Airbus, exploring joint projects in technology transfer and strengthening local supply.
The main achievements include:
-A collaboration agreement was reached with the Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry (FEMIA) and the French Embassy of Industries of the Future to implement an aerospace supplier certification program in Yucatán.
-Commitment from FEMIA and the French Embassy of Industries of the Future to actively promote the state as an aerospace investment destination.
-Confirmation of Yucatán as the host of three aerospace supplier fairs, with the participation of companies such as GE Aerospace and Bombardier.
-Announcement of upcoming visits by delegations from five international companies interested in continuing to explore investment opportunities in the state.
-Expansion of air connectivity by Mexicana de Aviación, through coordination with the Ministry of Tourism Development, particularly with its head, Darío Flota Ocampo.
These actions reinforce the industrial policy and position Yucatán as an innovative, competitive, and globally focused aerospace hub.
