A man died in the hospital after falling from a roof after suffering an electric shock at a house where he worked.
The victim, identified as José Guadalupe Farfán, 54, died after falling from a second-floor roof after receiving an electric shock.
The man was accompanied by José M. S., 53, with whom he was painting a house in the center of Dzidzantún. The victim accidentally touched the high-voltage cables and fell to the ground.
Municipal paramedics treated the man and found he was in critical condition due to a skull fracture.
He was immediately placed in an ambulance to be taken to the nearest hospital, but his death was confirmed shortly after. His now widow was with him in his final moments.
