In the first of the activities at FITUR 2025, which takes place in Madrid, Spain, the inauguration of the Maya Train stand was held, to publicize this means of transportation that connects with five states in the southeast of Mexico.
The formal act took place after the inauguration of the Mexican pavilion, which was attended by the Secretary General of Tourism in Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, the governor of Yucatán, Huacho Díaz Mena, as well as Eduardo Martínez, President of CIE, Quirino Ordaz, Ambassador of Mexico in Spain and authorities representing the Maya Train Project.
Josefina Rodríguez Zamora highlighted the quality of the Gafsacomm hotels and the Mexicana de Aviación services that they provide to national and international tourists.
Likewise, the head of the National Tourism Secretariat invited everyone to visit the states that the Mayan Train travels through, including Quintana Roo, Yucatán, Campeche, Tabasco, and Chiapas, to promote the culture and gastronomy of each area.
