A person lost his life after falling from the fourth floor of a building in Aldea Zamá, a residential area under development in Tulum, on December 17.
The events occurred in the morning when neighbors and passersby alerted emergency agents, who quickly went to the scene. However, paramedics confirmed that the victim no longer had vital signs.
Municipal Police officers cordoned off the area to preserve the scene, while minutes later Navy personnel joined in protecting and processing evidence.
The identity of the deceased has not been revealed, so it is not known whether he was a Mexican, a foreign tourist, or a resident.
The causes that could have caused the accident are also unknown since the authorities have not given further details. The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) of Quintana Roo has already begun investigations to clarify the facts; no line of the inquiry has been ruled out.
