To promote unity and coexistence in Yucatecan families during the holidays before and during the upcoming Christmas, the Yucatecan company Bepensa presided over the lighting of the traditional Christmas Tree, the stage representation of the story “A Frozen Christmas”, as well as Christmas walks in different municipalities of the state.
As part of a tradition rooted among Yucatecans for 27 years, the lighting of the 43-meter-high (142 feet) Christmas Tree was carried out this Saturday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the facilities of the Christmas Village located in the parking lot of the Chedraui Norte supermarket.
The lighting of the monumental tree in the Christmas Village is eagerly and joyfully awaited by the people of Merida, hence Bepensa maintains this tradition of raising the pine structure with spheres, stars, and other ornaments, in addition to the hundreds of lights that will stand out in the night sky of the Yucatecan capital.
The village will be the setting for the International Coca-Cola Christmas Show, in which 48 professional actors and dancers will perform the musical tale “A Frozen Christmas.”
