The city of Umán celebrates its 34th anniversary

With the traditional mañanitas sung at midnight by “Los Juglares”, Umán began the festivities for the 34th anniversary of its founding as a city. The celebration, led by the Municipal President, Kenia Walldina Sauri Maradiaga was marked by moments full of emotion and pride.

On an unforgettable evening, the mayor, accompanied by councilors and members of her work team, participated in the traditional cake cutting in front of the Municipal Palace, while the attendees sang the mañanitas in honor of their city.

For an hour, the Umanenses gathered in the center enjoyed the music of “Los Juglares”, who performed iconic songs such as “Sabor a Mí”, “Reloj”, “Fernanda”, “Flor de Azahar” among others.

The Municipal President expressed her joy in sharing this special date with the citizens of Umán: “I am very happy to celebrate with all of you another anniversary of our young city. We continue working together to build a municipality that we can be proud of and that offers a better quality of life for all its inhabitants with well-being for all,” he said.

The event culminated with an emotional medley of popular songs and a light and fireworks show that illuminated the sky and the façade of the Municipal Palace, leaving a memorable night for those attending.
