The international company Shijing Solar Power, recognized for its leadership in the manufacturing of solar panels, has delivered a letter of intent to the government of Yucatán to explore a possible investment in the state. This move reinforces its interest in the Mexican market, especially in the context of the growing demand for clean energy in the Yucatan Peninsula.
During a key meeting, Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena received David Yang, a representative of Shijing Solar Power, to discuss the viability of this investment. The meeting was also attended by the Secretary of Economic Development and Labor, Ermilo Barrera Novelo, who highlighted the opportunities that Yucatán offers for large-scale projects in the energy sector.
Governor Díaz Mena stressed that this preliminary agreement reinforces the state strategy to position Yucatán as a leader in renewable energies. Among the key projects that complement this vision is the Tizimín II wind plant, which strengthens clean energy infrastructure in the region.
“Our state continues to stand out as an attractive destination for companies committed to sustainability, which promotes the generation of quality jobs and care for the environment,” said the state president.
The Shijing Solar Power firm highlighted several key factors that make Yucatán an ideal place for this investment, including its strategic location, social stability, and ability to integrate into the global renewable energy chain.
With this letter of intent, Yucatán aligns itself with its objective of diversifying the energy matrix and promoting a more efficient and sustainable development model.
“The trust of international companies such as Shijing Solar Power reflects Yucatán’s commitment to sustainable development and strengthening the energy sector,” concluded Ermilo Barrera Novelo. This possible investment will not only diversify the local economy but will also contribute to technological advancement and the strengthening of the energy infrastructure in Yucatán, positioning it as a benchmark in renewable energies in Mexico.
