What was supposed to be a simple brake repair ended in a nightmare for Lulú.
Lulu, a Merida resident and Mexican citizen is now speaking out on social media after becoming a victim of negligence, abuse of trust, and a complete lack of responsibility.
According to her testimony, she entrusted her vehicle to a “trusted and reliable” mechanic. However, without her authorization or knowledge, the mechanic decided to hand it over to a third party. The result? An accident that left the car a total loss.
“They told me it was a minor collision… but the reality was much more serious. The car was destroyed and no one wants to take responsibility,” Lulu wrote on social networks. To make matters worse, the son of the third party involved, who is also a lawyer, also disclaimed any responsibility, as did the mechanic himself.
Meanwhile, Lulú has had to absorb all the expenses from her own pocket. The insurance company, far from providing support, has only further confused her with poor advice that has left her without a clear path to legal action.
On the day of the accident, the mechanic assured her that he would take care of it. However, due to work commitments, Lulú was unable to attend the crash site, sending her relatives to represent her. They were the ones who discovered the true extent of the damage, far from the “minor crash” she had been told was a “minor crash.”
“I feel unprotected, outraged, and deeply affected. This is not just a material loss; it’s a betrayal of trust and a total lack of ethics. I’m just asking for justice,” she said.
Lulú is making a call on the authorities for help, and the public to make her case visible, because, as she says, her story could be anyone’s.
