Several kilos of drugs were seized in Umán

The seizure of natural and synthetic drugs and the arrest of four people was the result of a search conducted this past March 28th at two properties in the “Las Perlas” subdivision in the municipality of Umán.

The operation, carried out jointly by state and federal forces, is part of the fight against drug dealing in Yucatán.

The search of both properties, located on 34th Street between 19-A and 25th Streets in the aforementioned subdivision, stems from previous investigations in which evidence was gathered, which led to the request and obtaining of search warrants issued by a supervisory judge.

The individuals arrested were: Nelly “N”, Alfonso “N”, Miguel “N”, and Antonio “N”.

A total of 97 kilograms of cannabis and one kilogram of 30 grams of methamphetamine (crystal) were seized at both properties. Some of the drugs were distributed in small bags.

Members of the Army, Navy, National Guard, State Attorney General’s Office, and the Ministry of Public Security participated in the operation.

The State Investigation Police and the Canine Unit intervened on behalf of the SSP.
