After being lost for just over 72 hours in the forests of the municipality of Chichimila, Municipal Police officers found Teodora, an elderly woman who had been missing for several days in the municipality.
The 72-year-old woman was found severely dehydrated. This is a strange case, as it is still unknown how she got lost in the woods, in an area difficult for people to access.
Some even believe it was a prank by the aluxes, a type of goblin in Yucatan tradition, known for playing tricks and even losing those who don’t “ask permission” before entering the jungle.
The woman was treated by paramedics and, after being examined, handed over to her family, who, upon learning of the discovery, burst into tears of joy at seeing their grandmother again.
