Man arrested after being accused of robbery at a home in northern Mérida

A man from Sonora was arrested after being accused of robbery at a home in northern Mérida.

The Ministry of Public Security (SSP) arrested a man from Hermosillo, Sonora, after being accused of stealing more than 500,000 pesos in cash and jewelry from a home in northern Mérida.

According to the victim’s complaint and evidence obtained by authorities, last Wednesday night he entered a home in the Montecarlo neighborhood.

There, he allegedly seized 6,500 pesos in cash and jewelry worth 500,000 pesos, including gold rings, chains, and earrings.

Therefore, SSP officers attached to the State Investigation Police (PEI), in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), arrested César Raymundo “N,” 39, on Sunday, April 27.

The individual, originally from Hermosillo, Sonora, is accused of aggravated robbery and was placed at the disposal of the supervisory judge who issued the arrest warrant.
