On Wednesday, October 2, Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena visited the Control, Command, Communication, Computing, and Intelligence Center (C5i) of the Secretariat of Public Security to reaffirm his commitment to the well-being of all Yucatecans.
The Governor met with the head of the department, Commander Luis Felipe Saidén Ojeda and other police commanders to recognize their work, demonstrating discipline, courage, and commitment to keep the State as a reference in security.
He explained that “the security of Yucatán is also the result of the values of the Yucatecan people,” and stressed the importance of society and Government preserving those values and defending what we have built.
Díaz Mena emphasized the need to continue improving and continuing with modernization and equipment to strengthen security in the State, and stressed that “we cannot be satisfied with the achievements obtained, we must continue to take care of Yucatán and its families.”
The Governor outlined his comprehensive security strategy, inspired by the guidelines of President Claudia Sheinbaum, which includes:
Zero impunity and frontal combat against corruption.
Addressing the causes of violence: Working on the roots of the problem.
Intelligence and investigation: Strengthening the training and equipment of the police, incorporating technology.
Strengthening coordination: Increase collaboration between the three levels of government and the security forces.
