Last month, the governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus, announced that the next head of the state Tourism Secretariat will be Michelle Fridman, former head of the Secretariat for Tourism Development (Sefotur) of Yucatan.
This Thursday, the governor from Movimiento Ciudadano announced part of his cabinet, among which he highlighted that Fridman is a young woman, with a very extensive career in the private sector and in the public sector.
“It has been a great signing because it took many weeks to convince Michelle to accept this great challenge,” said the governor of Jalisco.
From Guadalajara, the former head of Sefotur thanked the opportunity to be part of the Jalisco government team and announced that she has already designed a plan of 10 proposals to strengthen the sector in this state.
By sharing part of Michelle Fridman’s resume, the government of Jalisco highlighted that she has more than 80 awards the most important having been “Best Secretary of Tourism” during her administration in Yucatán.
She also reported that she was awarded the Tourism Medal by the Government of France and the Canadian Tourism Commission Award.
In Yucatán, Michelle Fridman managed to break various records in tourism and despite the fact that during her administration there was mandatory confinement due to the pandemic, which severely affected the sector, she was able to reactivate it with successful strategies that positioned the entity as a preferred destination at a national and international level.
