On Saturday, April 5, a tragic accident occurred on the Cosgaya-Komchén stretch, leaving one person dead and two others injured after a collision between a private vehicle and a motorcycle taxi.
According to initial reports, a Nissan Versa heavily impacted the motorcycle taxi carrying several people. As a result of the collision, a man identified as “Beto,” originally from the Sutuychén community, died.
Two other people who were aboard the motorcycle taxi were injured and were treated by emergency services at the scene. The severity of their injuries has not yet been officially reported.
Members of the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) and the State Investigation Police (PEI) cordoned off the area to allow for forensic work, while personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) conducted the corresponding investigations to clarify the causes of the unfortunate incident that occurred this Saturday, April 5th, around four in the afternoon.
