In Yucatan, 7.7 hybrid and electric vehicles are purchased every day, a rate that places the state as number nine in the country with the highest sales, according to the report on the Light Automotive Domestic Market, from the Mexican Association of Automobile Distributors A.C. (AMDA).

From January to September of this year, 2,100 cars of this type were sold in Yucatan, making it the only one on the peninsula in the top spots.

Mexico City is in first place with 23,772 units sold, the State of Mexico is second with 12,022 and Nuevo Leon is third with 7,884; In the case of Quintana Roo and Campeche, they are in the category designated as “Other”. After a list of the 12 entities with the most sales.

This segment of hybrid and electric vehicles is on the rise since in 2022 in Mexico there were 35 thousand 12 units sold until September, for the following year the figure was 48 thousand 745, but this year there are 85 thousand 766 in the same period (January-September).
