The Progreso Carnival 2025 Committee, headed by Councilwoman Marytere Bates Hevia, in coordination with the Tourism Department, headed by Aurea Elena Gómez, invites all Progreso families to participate in the 2025 Dog Carnival, which will take place on Friday, February 28, starting at 6:00 p.m., on the ground floor of the Municipal Palace.
The main objective of this event is to promote family coexistence, enjoy moments of joy with pets, and encourage care and respect for animals. This is the perfect time to test your creativity and design the most original costume for the long-awaited “Canine Coronation.”
The Progreso municipal president, Erik José Rihani González, highlighted that the Dog Carnival is a completely family event that seeks to instill values such as respect and good care of animals while offering a recreational space for the community.
Registration will take place on the day of the event at Progreso’s Parque Independencia and will be free of charge. Attendees are reminded of the importance of picking up after their pets using bags and keeping dogs on a leash at all times.
The Committee president concluded by saying that this event promises to be a unique experience full of fun, learning, and unforgettable moments to share with their faithful four-legged friends.
