Defendant charged with attempted murder in Ciudad Caucel

Accused of attempted aggravated homicide, R.A.H.B., alias “Dumbo,” was charged at a hearing held in this capital following the events that occurred in the La Herradura neighborhood of Ciudad Caucel.

In the session held at the Second Control Court, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) filed the charge and ruled the arrest, carried out in collaboration with agents from the State Investigation Police (PEI) of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), to be legal.

The prosecutors argued that the defendant should be subject to prosecution, and he requested a resolution within the constitutional deadline. Therefore, the Judge summoned the parties to resume the proceedings on April 25.

According to the investigation conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office, the events occurred on March 23, 2024, when the victim was attacked with a knife while parking on the streets of the aforementioned subdivision, causing various injuries to his body, with the intent to take his life.

It should be noted that these actions were due to prior agreements made by various individuals, including the defendant, who, after being referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, opened an investigation file, which resulted in criminal case 122/2024.

Before the end of the hearing, the litigation prosecutors presented their arguments for requesting justified pretrial detention, which was granted by the judicial authority for the duration of the proceedings.
