During the struggle, one passenger was seriously injured, but the passenger confronted the attacker in an attempt to prevent further tragedy. Thanks to this man’s intervention, the hijacker was arrested upon landing.
The plane made an emergency landing at Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport in Ladyville, where police officers were already prepared to intervene. The plane was quickly surrounded, and the passengers were able to disembark safely but with great fear after experiencing minutes of tension.
To date, authorities have not determined the motive behind the attempted hijacking, and investigations continue to clarify whether Taylor acted alone or had a criminal record.
