Early Saturday morning, a woman died in a traffic accident on the Mérida-Campeche highway near Pocboc, a town in the municipality of Hecelchakán. Two men traveling in the same car were also injured.
According to information obtained, it was around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, when, for unknown reasons, a white car went off the road and overturned, leaving the three occupants outside the vehicle. Witnesses of the accident notified authorities, who tried to assist the injured, one of whom was trapped underneath the car.
All occupants were taken to the nearest hospital, but the woman died of head trauma. The National Guard responded to the scene for the necessary work.
