The poisoning of about seven dogs and cats in the Tres Reyes neighborhood mobilized police and neighbors, who demanded that the corresponding authorities conduct a thorough investigation and punish the person responsible since it also put the children of the neighborhood at risk.
The complainants explained that the night before last, they saw some dogs vomiting blood. Then, they died.
Later, they noticed many dying dogs and cats on 25th Street and 18-A, the neighbors said. About seven animals ate poisoned feed. This annoyed the neighbors.
At the corner of 18-A and 25th streets, remains of ham, pork rinds, and poisoned meat were found.
Neighborhood children placed stones on these foods to prevent more animals from dying. At the scene, the police and municipal Civil Protection collected the poisoned food. They took away those who had already died.
The police asked the owners of the dead dogs and cats to file a complaint to follow up on the case.
Locals think that the author of this poisoning is not from that area and suspect the occupants of a red car roaming those streets that day were responsible.
