A Mérida police officer shoots and kills an armed subject

On the afternoon of Tuesday, November 19, residents of the Manzana 115 subdivision witnessed the moment when a Mérida police officer shot and killed an armed subject who fell lifeless after being hit by a bullet; and the moment was recorded on video.

Although several versions of the confrontation have circulated where a man was left dead in the neighborhood above, one of the most solid motives indicates that the now deceased caused a disturbance in a convenience store located on 66th and 67th Street, where the agents They detained him and tried to subdue him.

However, the subject known as “Bebo” managed to escape and run, but during the struggle, he allegedly injured an agent.

However, they caught up with him in the neighborhood park and there the shots detonated killing him.

The images went viral on social networks. The video was recorded by a person who was in the area and captured on video the moment when a Mérida police officer shot down the armed subject.

The video, which lasts just six seconds, was recorded from inside a property, through a window, where the man with a knife in his hand can be seen running past to chase the police officer who injured him.

Another uniformed man runs behind them, who is the one who allegedly shoots and kills “Bebo” and that is when several bullet impacts are heard. Agents from the State Investigative Police (PEI) arrived at the scene. They detained one agent, while the other received medical attention aboard an ambulance, so apparently, more than one agent was involved in the case.
