Merida will be present at the 2025 Tianguis Turistico

Mayor Cecilia Patrón announced that Merida will have a space at the upcoming 2025 Tourist Market (Tianguis Turistico) to promote Mérida as an ideal destination for national and international tourists.

At a press conference, the mayor announced that the city will be represented in Baja California at the 49th edition of the Tourist Market, the most prominent national event in the sector.

This event will host tour operators, agencies, and government authorities, and is expected to attract up to 10,000 visitors. This edition will also be notable as the first with a Mexican-American focus.

The Mérida City Council will coordinate its participation in this Tourist Market with the Ministry of Economic Development. It will also include roundtables and spaces for business meetings with potential partners.

In turn, Mérida’s presence will aim to generate more and better trade agreements, promote sustainable tourism, and diversify sources of income for all Mérida residents, as well as promote economic growth and development.

The mayor emphasized that Mérida is an ideal tourist destination due to its safety, peace, gastronomy, historical legacy, and culture.
