The City Council of Conkal 2024-2027 hereby informs the public and the media about the discovery of a lifeless body on the Mérida-Motul Highway, along the Conkal section of the road.
The body was found on the Conkal section of the Mérida-Motul highway; authorities are already investigating.
A citizen walking in the area noticed the human remains and reported it to the Conkal Municipal Police.
Following established protocols, the State Police was notified, and the State Attorney General’s Office and the Semefo (National Police Service) were requested to conduct the corresponding investigations. It should be noted that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition.
The Conkal City Council reaffirms its commitment to work in coordination with state authorities to respond responsibly and promptly to citizen reports.
