In commemoration of World Autism Awareness Day, Mérida International Airport lit up its facilities in blue.
It also presented the inclusive exhibition “My Life is a Puzzle of Colors,” featuring works by young neurodivergent artists Brenda Zamudio and Omar Perales.
The exhibition, on display at the Sara Millet Gallery, seeks to raise awareness about autism among the thousands of passengers every day and promote art as a means of inclusion.
The opening ceremony was attended by human rights officials, airport officials, and representatives of social organizations.
The exhibition will remain open for a month, accompanied by awareness-raising activities in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) during the Easter and Holy Week holidays.
