He pointed out that, of the 256 deaths in road accidents, 159 were motorcyclists, 28 were pedestrians, 27 were drivers, 26 were travelers or co-pilots, 16 were cyclists and all had lost their lives between January 1 and last Monday, December 16, a figure which could exceed last year’s total record, when 262 deaths were reported in 2023.
