Next-door neighbors rescue mother and daughters from fire in the Gran Santa Fe subdivision

A mother and her two minor daughters were rescued by their neighbors from a fire in their home in the Gran Santa Fe subdivision, in Ciudad Caucel.

The events occurred during the night of Wednesday, November 20.

Early Wednesday morning, Mrs. Fabiola M.A., 40 years old, woke up because of a fire on the ground floor of her house.

She quickly ran to wake up her daughters, ages 10 and 14, after which she went out to the balcony of the house and asked her next-door neighbors for help.

After hearing her call, the neighbors placed a ladder so that the mother and children could go down, and they also called the emergency number 911.

Firefighters from the Public Security Secretariat arrived at the site shortly after to put out the fire.

Preliminary reports indicate that the incident was caused by a short circuit in an electrical installation, which caused considerable material damage such as the loss of a refrigerator, a microwave, and an air conditioner, among others.
