Mérida police officers arrested Ángel A.S.A. on 61st and 62nd Street, in the heart of Mérida, who moments before attacked a municipal agent in that place.
The events occurred on Thursday, November 13, at 3:36 p.m., when Manuel A.C.O., who identified himself as an Olimpo security guard, approached the police officer to point out a person who was disturbing citizens.
The officer approached the defendant to ask him to leave, which he initially did. However, minutes later, Ángel A.S.A. returned and attacked the officer with a kick and a blow to the face. With the support of other police agents, the aggressor was arrested, transferred to the municipal jail, and subsequently referred to the Public Ministry of the State Attorney General’s Office for pertinent legal purposes.
