Woman is robbed of 40 thousand pesos in broad daylight in Downtown Campeche

The victim of the robbery with violence had just withdrawn the money from a bank branch in the downtown area.

San Francisco de Campeche (November 11, 2024).- A woman ended up with a nervous breakdown on Monday, November 11th, after being robbed of the 40 thousand pesos (two thousand USD), that she had just withdrawn from a bank branch, near the Historic Center of the capital of Campeche.

The victim of the robbery with violence was transferred by the personnel of the State Police (PE) to the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Campeche (FGECAM) to file a formal complaint.

The events occurred on the afternoon of Monday, November 11, when a woman began to walk on 10th Street in the Historic Center after withdrawing 40 thousand pesos in cash from a bank.

She arrived at the Guadalupe neighborhood, and in front of the alley on Juarez Street, a subject intercepted her threatened her with a sharp object, and robbed her purse, which contained the money.

The man had followed her since she left the bank; and after snatching the purse, he went aboard a white car driven by an accomplice, and they fled the scene at full speed.

The robbery was committed in broad daylight in the Guadalupe neighborhood, which is right next to the Historic Center where there is supposed to be a greater presence of State Police (PE) agents and video surveillance cameras.

No arrest was made in connection to this crime.
