Tourism promotion and cultural activities in the Yucatecan capital have paid off. Some 60 bracelets were delivered to tourists who will come to the Festival of the Animas and other events as part of the packages promoted through hoteliers and travel agencies.
The above was announced by Armando Cásares, technical secretary of the municipality’s Tourism Unit, who explained that these packages will serve to quantify the tourists who arrive as part of this promotion and, although it may seem like a low number, it is an excellent figure. To is the first time it has been implemented at the municipal level.
“It is the first festival, but they are ready to deliver more. It has to become a custom that people know. They will be valid throughout the festival and from now on at events, these bracelets will be available to distinguish the people who are coming to visit,” explained the municipal official.
He highlighted that these visitors through these new promotion models are from the region, but with the start of the WTA Mérida Open, the number of visitors will increase, since the arrival of 400 visitors is expected, which is undoubtedly part of the objectives that have been implemented to attract more tourism.
