A tourist died in a hotel in downtown Mérida, prompting personnel from the State Investigation Police and the General Investigation Prosecutor’s Office to carry out the necessary procedures.
The incident occurred last night, Friday, at a hotel located on Calle 60 between 55 and 57 in the heart of the Yucatecan capital.
The cause of death is not yet known, but reports indicate that the deceased is a man approximately 40 years old, who identified himself as Omar C.A. upon checking into the hotel.
Hotel staff alerted the authorities, who then conducted the necessary procedures, including processing the scene and performing an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
