The Honorary President of the System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) Yucatán, Mtra. Wendy Méndez Naal, headed the launch of the “Caravana Rosa” campaign, by ADO in Mérida, an initiative focused on the early detection of breast cancer.
At the Mérida-Centro Histórico terminal, the head of the organization thanked the support and collaboration of the passenger transport company for the altruistic service it offers to the people of Yucatán, since, through this dissemination campaign, the population is encouraged to learn about the importance of self-examination and to perform an examination to detect any abnormality.
Teacher Wendy Méndez Naal stressed that Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena was very pleased that actors from the private sector, such as the ADO company, carry out such an important and transcendent social work for the health of the Yucatecans.
She recognized the value and commitment of the ADO company for joining the fight against this disease, with will, effort, resources, and organization for 13 years, with awareness activities through treatments, control, and surveillance.
To conclude her speech, the president invited those present to join her this Saturday, October 19, to the “Walk and Fair against Breast Cancer 2024”, where there will be the participation of government agencies, institutions, and civil associations, who will provide services, guidance, and health promotion, as part of the scheduled activities of the DIF Yucatán System campaign.
