Progreso City Hall illuminated in support of the fight against breast cancer

On the night of October 4, the façade of the Municipal Palace was lit in pink, as a symbol of solidarity and awareness about breast cancer.

October 19 is World Day against Breast Cancer, but throughout the month, worldwide, it is considered pink month because it is dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer.

In this context, staff from the Municipal Institute for Women (IMM) was in charge of this event that seeks to inspire the progressive society in general to act and become aware of the disease and its impact.

The municipal authorities will organize various activities that include informative talks in schools and even yoga classes, in addition to the comprehensive actions in favor of women that will be implemented with the municipal program “100 X Progress,” said the municipal official.
