Within the framework of the promotion of the tourist attractions and services that distinguish Campeche, the presentation of Campeche as a tourist destination to travel agents, tour operators, and the media was carried out in the city of Palenque, Chiapas.
The event, led by the head of the Sector, Mauricio Arceo Piña, aimed to promote the tourist offer of Campeche, highlighting its main tourist centers, including its heritage cities, Pueblos and Barrio Mágico, as well as the varied experiences that the state offers to those who like to travel, such as nature, gastronomy, history, culture, business and much more.
During the presentation, it was highlighted that Campeche has archaeological zones, including Calakmul, recognized worldwide and declared a Mixed World Heritage Site, and which stands out as one of the most visited each year.
Campeche’s position as an emerging destination for national and international sporting events, as well as for meeting tourism, was highlighted.
The Secretary of Tourism was accompanied by business representatives, as well as presidents of chambers and associations of the tourism industry of Campeche and Chiapas.
More than 50 tourism service providers, travel agents, and tour operators, as well as local media, were present during the event.
This event was held in coordination with the Secretary of Tourism of Chiapas, Katyna De la Vega. Likewise, the connectivity of the Mayan Train provides a great benefit in promotion since it brings us closer to the southern area to discover the attractions and tourist products offered by the states of the Mayan World.
The successful presentation held at the Hotel Chan-Kah hotel demonstrates the commitment of the State Government and the Ministry of Tourism to position Campeche as a first-class destination capable of offering a diverse and quality tourist experience for all visitors.
