President Claudia Sheinbaum launched a call for the alert to the inhabitants of the coasts of Oaxaca and Guerrero before the imminent arrival of tropical depression Once-E.

President Claudia Sheinbaum called on the inhabitants of the coasts of Oaxaca and Guerrero to take precautions before the arrival of tropical depression ‘Once-E’ in the next few hours.

Sheinbaum Pardo asked to stay away from riverbeds, stay in high places, go to shelters, and follow the instructions of the authorities.

Tropical depression Once-E is expected to make landfall in the next 24 hours, which will bring heavy rains to the coasts of Oaxaca and Guerrero.

Sheinbaum Pardo announced that she met in Acapulco, Guerrero with Evelyn Salgado, governor of the state; with Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, governor of Michoacán; as well as with the Army and the Navy.

He pointed out that the most urgent thing is the supply of drinking water and the restoration of roads. He specified that instructions were left to Conagua and the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transport to help the municipality of Acapulco and that this Thursday the evaluation of the effects on all the municipalities of Guerrero will be made and the support plan will be made.

Also present at the meeting were Rosa Icela Rodríguez, Secretary of the Interior, Omar García Harfuch, Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection; Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy; Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, Secretary of Tourism; David Kershenobich, Secretary of Health; Laura Velázquez Alzúa, National Coordinator of Civil Protection and other members of the cabinet, to support in the emergency and the needs of the population.
